What is This Magical Liquid!? Rescued Tigers Take a Swim for the Very First Time

While some cats don’t exactly enjoy taking a bath, it turns out that many do, and tigers in particular love to splash and play in a nice cool pool. For Carli and Lily, who have spent most of their lives cooped up without water to play in, an in-ground pool might just be the best thing ever.

Carli and Lily are victims of the exotic pet trade. That is, they were, until the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) rescued them from a dilapidated cage in the outskirts of Buffalo, New York.

Now Carli and Lily live at the Safe Haven Rescue Zoo in Nevada, where they just got a new in-ground pool, thanks to a joint effort by IFAW and the folks at Safe Haven.

Luckily, IFAW propped up some cameras so we could watch these magnificent tigers make their first splash in the brand new bath.
