This Lizard Has FrillsThe Rainforest Site
The frill-necked lizard, also called the frilled dragon, spends most of its time in the trees, but unfortunately it hasn’t figured out a way to use its furbelowed neck to float back down to earth. It only uses its unique, cartilage-supported neck-frills as a defense mechanism or to attract a mate, and comes down from the trees mainly for food and territorial disputes.
It has, however, figured out a way to change the color of its skin to blend in with its surroundings, and can run on its hind legs. Watch the video to check it out!
