The Colorful Keel-Billed Toucan

TRS_Blog_DTOP_BelowTitle_336x280

The keel-billed toucan is the national bird of Belize, and for good reason. This beautiful avian has a mostly black, sleek plumage that contrasts nicely with its brightly colored beak and neck, which makes it one of the most striking birds in the Amazon.

Watch the video to see this colorful, big-beaked bird in its natural habitat.

Although toucans are adept at adapting to new environments, many less adaptable animals may not survive if the Amazon continues to shrink. Celebrate Earth Day and donate to protect Mother Earth and the many species of birds, primates, amphibians, and reptiles that call the Amazon rainforest home.
