TV Legend Loves Animals So Much That He’s Giving His Life to Them!

In 2012, Sam Simon — co-creator of the longest-running scripted television series, The Simpsons, and writer for Taxi and It’s Garry Shandling’s Show — was diagnosed with colon cancer. His doctor gave him a three month life expectancy. “Is it curable?” asked Simon. “We don’t use that word,” said the doctor. However, two years later, Simon says he is happier than ever. That seems to be due, at least in part, to his decision of what to do with his multimillion-dollar fortune: save animals, help people, and give a voice to the voiceless.
