Metamorphasis of the Amphibian Species of the World DatabaseM.M. Sullivan
The Amphibian Species of the World Database was first compiled by Darrel Frost in 1985, and was the first comprehensive catalog of amphibians created in over one hundred years — and between the 1880s and 1980s, the number of known amphibians had more than quadrupled.
Today, the database lists over 7,000 species of amphibians, and Frost continues to add to it whenever a new species is discovered.
