Today, illegal wildlife trafficking is the third largest criminal enterprise in the world. And while animals are the most obviously affected by this horrible practice, it also has a devastating effect on local communities. If you look at the effect a loss of elephants would have on a community’s tourism, it’s easy to see how this would deliver a significant blow to their economy.

Or, consider the effect wildlife trafficking has on the environment. Because poaching is one of the greatest threats some of our most cherished species face today, such as rhinos, elephants, and tigers, we could be talking about a species, essential to our delicate ecosystems becoming extinct. The long-term effects of this loss could be catastrophic.

The International Anti-Poaching Foundation works every day to protect animals like elephants and rhinos from poachers. Their work is vital to the preservation of these beloved species.
