Elephants + Mud = HilarityMitchell Canh
Located in Northern Thailand, The Elephant Nature Park is a sanctuary and rescue center that cares for a number of deserving elephants–including the group featured in this video below. In Thailand, temperatures can reach a blistering 101 degrees Fahrenheit and too cool down, elephants will turn to the mud for a refreshing sensation! The mud also acts as a natural sunscreen — protecting their skin from damaging sun rays.
However, mud time is not only for cooling off in the intense heat. It’s a time of socializing for the elephants and a time to have some pretty serious fun! Take a look and watch these playful elephants make their own mud puddles and some steep mud slides — making the very best out of a rainy day. We could learn a thing or two from these muddy elephants!
You can help bring more elephants to the Elephant Nature Park and other Asian elephant sanctuaries! Find out how to help.
