These Two Lions Miss Their Targets Horribly

Lions are apex predators that rely on coordination and stealth to hunt their fleet-footed prey. They stalk their quarry, either by gradually sneaking up to them under the cover of vegetation or by staking out a watering hole. When the target gets close enough, they launch a well-coordinated surprise attack. The lions in this safari video, however, have not worked hard enough in training. As a result, they fail to gain a scrumptious lunch, but they do succeed in creating a big splash.

While lions sit atop their food chain in their habitat and have no natural predators, they are hunted by human beings for sport. Sign this petition that appeals to the IUCN to disallow the targeting of vulnerable species like lions by trophy hunters.
