Mesmerizing Footage Of New Zealand Glowworms

TRS_Blog_DTOP_BelowTitle_336x280

Just as Vincent Van Gogh's artwork captures the beauty of a star-filled night sky, Jordan Poste's video footage captures the glorious luminescence of New Zealand glowworms in a dark cave. Using a time-lapse technique that took roughly 60 hours to film, Jordan was able to produce this award-winning short video of the magnificent creatures. The glowworm (which isn't really a worm at all, but rather a fungus gnat larva) has an organ in its tail that produces the mesmerizing blue-green light to attract prey.
